    Harvard Undergraduate Economics Association (HUEA)



    HUEA is a platform open to all students majoring in Economics/interested in Economics and is committed to building an inclusive Economic community on campus. HUEA is a partner of Harvard University’s Economic Review (HCER).


    HUEA regularly organizes professional/internship seminars and conducts interdisciplinary activities with Professors and Economists to support students academically and socially. For High School students, HUEA holds two annual Business Competitions. At the tournament, students engage with economic theory to construct a business plan based on real-life cases. The winner is decided by Oliver Hart, recipient of the 2016 Nobel Prize in Economics.

    League Director

    Jack has a M.A in International Business from Florida International University. While at FIU, he interned at the Greater Miami Chamber Of Commerce, where he developed strategic business plans to attract new customers and nurture existing client relationships. After graduation, he worked in one of the largest international trade companies in Miami. He later joined a boutique travel company and created tailor-made luxurious travel experiences for customers.

    Sunny Mewati

    Academic Director

    Sunny Mewati has an M.S in Economics and Finance from Peking University HSBC Business School, where he completed graduate research on behavioral economics and investor sentiment. While at PHBS, he was a member of the International Business Association and interned at the Chancellor’s Office. Before joining Sunrise, he held roles in strategy, pricing, and sales at two technology startups in Shenzhen.



    Rayn Hu

    Strategic Consultant

    Ryan is the executive director of “AQMEN趣脉”. He used to work for at CiMing cooperation as the director of operations and the vice manager of e-commerce center. Ryan has rich experience in activity operations and has led his team to hold Forbes U30 elites communication event, AYPS international talent show etc.






    Nicholas Bonvini

    Program Advisor

    Nico graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Economics. In college he interned at State Street Global Advisors and Thomson Reuters, and was a member of the Economics Society and the Federal Reserve Challenge Team. After graduating, Nico worked as a Royalty Analyst assisting in financial audits of intellectual property rights holders. Nico came to China in 2016 and has since taught business and debate to thousands of students across the country.
